Dr. Hany ElZayat was born in Alexandria, Egypt, received his bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Ain-Shams university-Cairo, Egypt in 1977.Following that Masters degree in engineering from University of Detroit-Michigan, USA in 1983, Then Doctor of Philosophy in civil engi-neering from Wayne state university Michigan, USA in 1989m
In 1990 Dr. Hany started his academic career in Egypt as an Assistant professor in structural department civil engineering in Helwan University Cairo, Egypt.
He taught a large number of course such as: Special slabs and The Design of Reinforce concrete halls for student of the third year civil engi-neering, Design of Reinforced Concrete elements for second year civil engineering, also analysis and design of tall building for the students of the second year master in civil engineering and Earthquake analysis of concrete structures for the students of the first year of doctor in Civil en-gineering.
Dr. Hany had the Honor to be the consultant for many Ministries and companies among them:

• Consultant of the Egyptian Cabinet from 1992 to 2012.
• Consultant of the Educational Building Association from 1992 to 2011.
• Consultant of the National Service Bureau-Ministry Of Defense (2005-2006).
• Consultant of the Minister of Communication from 1999 to present.
• Consultant of Egypt Telecom Company from 1999 to 2007.
• Consultant of CEG-Qatar from 2002 to 2008.
